Scholarships
Scholarship research, step by step
Scholarships are offered by schools and organizations based on many factors. Research works best when it is organized and focused on credible sources.
Start close to home
Local foundations, civic groups, employers, and your school counseling office often know about awards with fewer applicants.
Keep a simple tracker
Record each award's sponsor, deadline, requirements and submission status. One sheet saves a lot of last-minute stress.
Verify every sponsor
Look for a clear sponsoring organization, published criteria and contact details. Avoid any award that requires a payment to apply.
